This exhibition invites you to explore the rich heritage of traditional fine furniture-making while shining a spotlight on the cutting-edge innovations shaping the furniture design landscape today. Witness the evolution of craftsmanship as Davidson unveils a carefully curated collection that seamlessly blends the time-honoured techniques of the past, such as lacquering, marquetry and gilding, with the visionary approaches defining the present and future.

We are delighted to partner with some incredible artisans to honour these timeless techniques of the past, and how these crafts define the future of furniture making.

Tuesday 14th May

12 – 2 pm | Discover the Art of Furniture Gilding with a gilding demonstration from renowned Architectural Decorators Britain & Co. Showcasing a variety of skilled gilding techniques, including oil gilding, modern water gilding and enamel gilding.

2 – 3 pm | Our Founder and Design Director Richard Davidson hosts a CPD to explore the traditional craftsmanship and materials used in veneering, lacquering, gilding and marquetry techniques to create high-end contemporary furniture for luxurious interiors

Wednesday 15th May

All Day | We welcome Ceramic artist Belgin Bozsahin for a day of live demonstrations of her incredible textural sculptural installations. See her work displayed in our showroom for the week as we host her pop-up studio.

Thursday 16th May

All Day | Talented marquetry artisan Olivia Faire joins us from her studio on the Cornish Coast to showcase her meticulous, nature-led marquetry works of art, furniture and lighting.
