About
30 years since opening their first boutique workshop in central London, Cox & Power are hosting their first jeweller in residence: renowned Peruvian designer and social entrepreneur Andrea Jose. Andrea infuses her jewellery with the rich cultural heritage of her homeland — her pieces are whispered stories of ancient traditions and vibrant communities.
Andrea and Rachel Sweeney of Cox & Power are two jewellers on two continents united by a shared passion for provenance and sustainability. This fresh collaboration brings forth their vision of conscious craftsmanship. Together, they are creating a new collection of contemporary heirloom jewellery with an elevated purpose.
Cox & Power are hosting an exhibition of Andrea’s work and the ancient textile traditions that inspire her designs. The journey starts at the origin of the gold, with the miners Andrea works with in the Peruvian Amazon to develop more sustainable mining practices. Discover how their culture and values have inspired this project, explore the ancient inspirations behind the jewellery and hear positive stories of reforestation, female empowerment and mercury-free, Fairmined gold.
Meet Andrea at the Cox & Power workshop and see the new collection taking shape. Connect with the gold at close hand and learn how jewellery can be a force for positive change. Immerse yourself in the creative process and discover what authentic, responsible craftsmanship looks like. Drop-ins welcome.
