About the participants
Joanna Bird, an esteemed ceramics and glass expert, honed her craft under Michael Cardew’s tutelage, establishing her contemporary ceramics gallery in 1994. Over three decades, she has earned international acclaim for curating fine works acquired by museums and collectors. Joanna’s gallery features a diverse array of ceramic and glass artists, showcased at distinguished galleries, international art fairs and her own gallery.
Joseph Harrington, a sculptor specialising in cast glass, earned acclaim with awards such as ‘Best in Show’ at the 2017 British Glass Biennale and a gold medal at the Bavarian State Prize 2018. His work, acquired by institutions including the V&A Museum, is exhibited globally, including solo shows in the USA and participation in ‘Collect’ at the Saatchi Gallery, London.
Gregory Warren Wilson, an artist and prize-winning poet, explores the translucent nature of glass in his work. Using hand-cut tesserae in multiple layers, as well as larger abstract compositions, he plays with light’s spatial interaction. Sometimes inspired by poetry fragments, Gregory’s glass designs stand independently while alluding to their literary origins.
