Iaia is an ethical fine jewellery brand founded in 2022 by Arianna Calabrese that celebrates the crossroads of the world.
Born out of Arianna’s diverse life experiences working at the intersection of cultural heritage, creative practice, and social & environmental liberation, Iaia showcases at-risk craftsmanship from around the world through a small range of heirloom jewels and objects.
With the aim to revitalize dying craft traditions around the world, Iaia re-links ancient trade routes that have existed since antiquity, but have been broken due to war, colonization, and mass-production.
Iaia’s debut collection titled ‘Seeds’ meditates on how we, as a migrating species, have carried seeds with us to new lands. Part of our ancestral heritage, connecting us to land and history, they are a symbol of the creativity and resilience of those who have come before us.
The collection features a series of beautiful seed charms and amulets in buttery 22kt and 18kt gold. Imbued with cultural pride and history, the pieces are produced by a community of small-scale, ethical, artisanally-focused partners in Myanmar and Jaipur.
