Dilara Karaagac’s interest in Ebru art began during the first year of her law and history degree at university. She received her traditional Ebru apprenticeship from Prof. Dr. Sacid Acikgozoglu in Sunbul Efendi Ebrihanesi, in Istanbul, between 2007 and 2012. In 2021, she decided to focus on introducing and promoting traditional Turkish arts and established TTA (Traditional Turkish Arts Platform – www.traditionalturkisharts.co.uk and @tta_traditionalturkisharts) in London. Together with Prof. Acikgozoglu, she taught Ebru in Yunus Emre Institute and the Prince’s School of Traditional Arts in London. She currently provides courses and workshops in her own studio and at other institutions, schools, and events by herself.
