About
Zhang Fan is a professor at the School of Design, Central Academy of Fine Arts, a national-level inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage “Filigree Inlay Manufacturing Technique,” a member of the British Society of Jewellery Historians, a consultant to the Italian Handicraft Association, the deputy director of the Jewellery Designers Committee of the China Jewellery and 宝玉 (precious jade) Association, and a member of the Metal Art Committee of the China Arts and Crafts Association. In 2019, he was awarded the National Art Fund’s Young Artist Creation Project, and in 2017, he served as the gift designer for the “Belt and Road” International Forum for High-Level Cooperation. In 2012, he was selected by French ELLE as one of the top twelve emerging Chinese designers worldwide.
