About
Based at Oxo Tower Wharf, Alasdair is a designer and engineer. He founded design studio Wingback in 2014, making luxury everyday items, built for perpetuity. The collections include a range of small leather goods, waxed canvas luggage and machined stationery, of which his Mechanical Pencil was awarded a coveted Red Dot Design Award. His work combines traditional craft work such as saddle stitching and hand leather work with modern technology using CNC machining, digital pattern making and cutting and 3D printing. This is shown in his collections of modern pieces, made from classic sustainable materials.
