Amy’s porcelain lights and expressive painting are inspired directly by the sea and the feeling of being immersed in water. Using the delicate translucency of porcelain and a palette taken from the beach outside her studio, Amy aims to convey the experience of how and the water feels; the light, energy, the reflections, colour of the water and momentary glimpses whilst swimming.
