Javiera Carrillos (MESTIZA) is a young designer and jeweller who lives in Santiago, Chile. She has won recognition from the Unesco World Craft Council for her jewellery collection made with picoyo and silver -picoyo is an endemic material, a resin from the araucaria, a tree that grows in the south of Chile and has a mystical meaning for native people.-
