About
Mitch is a Devon based ceramic artist with 35 years’ experience. She studied ceramic design at Falmouth School of Art and Design and recently gained an MA Fine Art (Ceramics) at Bath School of Art and Design. She was selected by the Craft Council for their 2019 Hothouse Programme and was awarded ‘Rising Star 2019’ by the New Ashgate Gallery. She is a selected member of The Craft Potters Association and Contemporary Applied Arts. Mitch is represented by galleries throughout the UK and sells her work internationally.
Mitch has shown her work at Ceramic Art London and Collect. She has been featured in publications, including, Ceramic Review and Ceramics Monthly. She is an advocate for empowering new ceramicists and mentors emerging makers. Mitch creates sculptures which are hand-formed and intuitive in their construction. Each piece is an emotional response to the clay. “I like to embrace the rhythmic, meditative and mindful processes, with each piece imbued with a sense of calm, serenity and connection”.
