Daniel’s work stems from a love of rustic 20th-century European modernism and objects of all kinds that wear their hand-craftedness on their sleeves. Daniel is particularly interested in our emotional responses to pieces of furniture and in the personalities we perceive in them through their proportions and the balance struck between characterful naivety and more refined craftsmanship.
